Bio
Stage director, choreographer, researcher, and tenured undergraduate and graduate professor at UNA (National University of the Arts). His work centers on a decentered form of dance emerging from collaborations and intersections between disciplines. His pieces interrogate the body and its movement through new opera, performative installation, and new technologies. Tierra de Mandelbrot, Plano Difuso, Rotonda, Recitaciones, and Topologías para cuerpos infinitamente inconquistables are some of the notable works resulting from his research. He has been invited to create for the Contemporary Ballet of Teatro San Martín, Teatro Colón, Teatro Argentino de La Plata, and their respective Experimentation Centers (CETC and TACEC).
His work has been supported by national and international institutions and has toured festivals throughout the Americas and Europe. He received the 1st Prize at the “Tanz im August” Choreographic Competition (Berlin), the H2O Award 2020 (Human Horizons in Observation), and the Paradigma Digital Special Jury Prize. As part of the collective touchandgoreality, he received the EEA Grants (European Economic Area) and was a finalist for the Arte Laguna Prize, land art category, with the project Aquaculture Regenerative Machine: A Choreography for the Moon, Tides, and Organisms, Venice 2016.
He served as a jury member for the National Dance Prize FNA 2020, a member of the Curatorial Committee of the Buenos Aires Contemporary Dance Festival and FIBA Co-productions, and an award juror for the FAUNA Festival (UNA Arts Festival), among others. In 2015, he was invited to participate as a speaker-performer at TEDxRíodelaPlata. He is currently developing Macho Varón Masculino, a series of actions aimed at documenting the relationship between dance and diverse masculinities in Latin America.
