RECITATIONS
“Recitations” (2010) is the result of an intervention into Récitations, the concert work for solo voice composed by Georges Aperghis in 1978.
This work operates on the original space in which a musical concert takes place, transforming it into a space where alterations in different emotional states are displayed.
Commissioned by TACEC (Teatro Argentino de La Plata, Centro de Experimentación y Creación).
Premiered in September 2010, with the participation of the IUNA Dance Company and performed by French soprano Donatienne Michel-Dansac.
First Prize, Tanz im August–IUNA Choreographic Competition, 2011.
In 2013, the work received a grant from the Fondo Metropolitano de las Artes y las Ciencias of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires for its revival with an independent cast and production.
