TIERRA DE MANDELBROT
Three performers inhabit a cold and blurred space, traversed by images and beams of light that strike their bodies, initiating a journey against their own presence—one that unfolds on the border between determinism and chance. The piece participated in the Lyon Dance Biennale 2006. It premiered during the III Buenos Aires Contemporary Dance Festival and was programmed for the V Buenos Aires International Theatre Festival.
It was nominated for the Teatro del Mundo Awards 2005 as one of the best choreographic directions of the season. In 2008, it was part of the circuit of International Dance Festivals in Brazil, including the Recife Dance Festival in Pernambuco, the Ceará Dance Biennale, FID—International Dance Forum of Minas Gerais, and the Panorama Dance Festival in Rio de Janeiro.
“Tierra de Mandelbrot” was included in the program of the Buenos Aires Mathematics Festival 2009.
